Privacy policy for our Casinolab coverage

This notice covers thetackhouse.co.uk, the site you're reading now — not Casinolab itself, which is a separate operator with its own privacy terms. We explain here what we collect from visitors reading our Casinolab content, why, and how you can control it.

The short version

We collect technical data automatically when you browse (device, browser, approximate location from IP) and anything you submit voluntarily through our contact form. We don't sell data to third parties. We use a limited set of processors — hosting and analytics — and you can ask us to delete what we hold at any time.

Data you hand over vs data we observe

When you write to us at [email protected], you give us your email address and whatever you include in the message. That's the only data you actively hand over on this site — we don't run an account system or a login.

Separately, your browser passes us technical information the moment you land on a page: IP address, device type, browser version, referring page and time spent. This is standard web-analytics data, and it's what lets us see which pages are useful and which aren't.

Processors and transfers

We rely on third-party providers to run this site: a hosting provider to serve the pages, and an analytics tool to measure traffic. These providers process data on our instructions under data-processing agreements — they don't get to use it for their own purposes.

Where a processor is based outside the UK, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard recognised under UK GDPR. We do not share your data with advertisers, and we never sell it.

Exercising your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or export the data we hold about you, and you can object to processing or withdraw consent at any point. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

  • Access — a copy of what we hold on you
  • Rectification — correcting anything inaccurate
  • Erasure — deletion where there's no legal reason to keep it
  • Objection — stopping a specific use of your data

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent supervisory authority: ico.org.uk.

Retention

We keep contact-form correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your query and to keep a short record in case of a follow-up. Analytics data is retained on an aggregated basis and isn't linked back to an identifiable person once processed.

Under-18s

This site, and the Casinolab content it covers, is intended for readers aged 18+ only. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and gambling content is not directed at minors under any circumstance.

If a parent or guardian believes a minor has submitted data through our contact form, email [email protected] and we'll remove it.

Changes to this notice

We update this notice when our data practices change — a new analytics tool, a new processor — and the version live on this page is always the current one. There's no separate changelog; check back periodically if you want to stay current.
